Built on the Bourne stream, looking north.
From Coy Pond in Bournemouth, the North Star sits at exactly 50° above the horizon. That fixed point — precise, dependable, the same every night — is what the whole company is about.
The pond
Coy Pond is a Victorian ornamental pond on the Bourne stream in Bournemouth, built in 1888. Its name is short for decoy — a pond designed to draw wildfowl into the open, making the hidden visible to those watching from the bank.
Coyven is named for it. The name carries both meanings: the place, and the act of drawing hidden things into the light — which is most of what good technology management is.
The angle
From the bank of that pond, looking north, Polaris sits at exactly 50° above the horizon. Not approximately. Precisely 50°, because Coy Pond sits at 50.72°N latitude.
That angle is in the Coyven mark. It is the geometric signature of the company — fixed and specific, because precision is the point. Technology should be a fixed point you can navigate by, not a moving one.
The work
Financial and regulated firms run on technology they rarely have time to think about — yet they are the firms most often asked to prove it is sound. Most of what happens inside an estate — cost drifting, security slipping, controls quietly lapsing — stays invisible until an incident, an audit, or a regulator brings it into the open.
Coyven makes it visible, manages it quietly, and keeps the evidence ready. Whether we are running the estate day-to-day, preparing you for Cyber Essentials, DORA or an FCA review, or steering technology from the top, the goal is the same: technology you can stop worrying about, and prove when asked.
Three things, consistently.
Precision over completeness
Five accurate, actionable findings are worth more than fifty data points that go unread. We build for clarity, and we say what we mean.
Invisible infrastructure
The best technology disappears. Done well, our work is felt as the absence of problems — not as another system you have to manage.
Nothing hidden
From your clients or from you. Every cost, risk and decision is sourced, dated and explained. You own your systems and your knowledge throughout.
Financial services, from both sides.
Coyven is built on more than five years delivering technology for financial services — first at a managed service provider supporting regulated clients, then in-house inside a financial firm. That means we have configured the controls, sat through the audits, and answered the regulator’s questions ourselves.
We know what an assessor asks for before they ask it, and we know how much quiet, consistent work sits behind a clean Cyber Essentials Plus result or an FCA resilience review. We keep the team small on purpose — it is how the work stays precise.
